Naval Academy Jamboree - Annapolis, MD. January 17 until January 19.

Itinerary: We will be driving down in 6 vehicles. The cars will be leaving at different times. The biggest group will meet at the church at 5pm on Friday. You Will be notified about who you are driving with to the Jambo.
Fri. Jan 17th.
Friday night we will eat enroute along the road at a McDonalds type stop.
Have money for eating two meals on the road, one Friday and one on Sunday.
Friday night will be spent at the 4H camp Letts about 8 miles south of Annapolis.
Saturday is an early day with a 5:30 am reveille, and an opening Ceremony at the academy at 8am.
All day Sat. is spent at the Academy Campus, known as "THE YARD".
Sat. Lunch and Dinner are at Kings Hall at the Academy with the Midshipmen.
Saturday night we go back to Camp Letts.
Sunday Jan 19th is an early out and return home, probably by around noon or 1pm.
THERE MAY BE AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOP AT THE VISITORS CENTER OR THE PX (Midshipmen's Store) Bring additional $ for souvenirs if desired.
YOU MUST HAVE A FULL UNIFORM FOR SATURDAY!!!
PLEASE BRING YOUR SLEEPING GEAR TO THE TROOP MEETING ON THURS.
JAN 16th. We need to check everyone's sleeping bags to make sure the are adequate.
Personal Gear List for each Scout: This list is mandatory for winter camping. Please follow the list carefully.

Merit Badge Book and prerequisites as required
Personal Mug for Hot chocolate, knife ,fork and spoon.
(troop will provide plates, and napkins, we will only be eating two breakfasts at the site, the rest of the meals are on the road, or at the academy)

Rain Gear
Bed Roll or Blanket
Winter Bag, or reg. bag with blanket or liner
Fleece jacket or heavy sweater or hooded sweatshirt.
Troop Hat or Scout Hat
Wool Cap, scarf or neck warmer.
2 pair of Gloves or mittens.
Sweats for Sleeping or PJ's
Pants - 2 pair
2 Shirts (Flannel or Turtle Necks)
Flashlight
Early Car - to check in with gear.
